During the conference period (29 September – 2 October), Melbourne typically experiences mild spring weather. Average daytime temperatures range from 15 °C to 20 °C, with cooler mornings and evenings. Rainfall is moderate at this time of year, and Melbourne is known for its changeable weather—it's not uncommon to experience four seasons in one day, so packing layers and a light rain jacket is recommended.

The official currency of Australia is the Australian Dollar (AUD).
Currency exchange services are available at Melbourne Airport, in the central business district (CBD), and at most major banks. Please note that a fee is usually charged for all foreign currency exchanges.
You can find current exchange rates here.
Tipping in Australia is not expected. A service charge is not typically added to your bill, but tipping for excellent service is always appreciated and entirely at your discretion.
