Fiona received her PhD in inorganic chemistry from Monash University, and after working in the university space at ANU (Australia) and University of Exeter (UK) for several year, in 2007 she moved to work in the pharmaceutical industry.  Working in Research and Development and Business Development across two companies, both in the opiate industry, extracting natural products to product pharmaceutical raw materials and APIs. While most focus has been on the extraction, purification and isolation of opiates, other natural products have been investigated and commercialised, most notably cannabis to produce resins of CBD and THC.
