Syensqo
I currently work as the Technical Business Development Manager for Syensqo with responsibility for their range of solvent extraction reagents in the Asia Pacific region. I have been in my current role for 2 years where I provide account management and technical support on the use of Syensqo reagents for solvent extraction of metals such as copper, cobalt, zinc, uranium and lithium. I am a B.Sc. (Hons) graduate from the University of Melbourne with a postgraduate diploma in Extractive Metallurgy from Murdoch University in Perth, Western Australia. I have over 30 years’ experience working in the mineral processing industry predominantly with metal solvent extraction processes. Prior to joining Syensqo, I worked for 19 years as a Senior Metallurgist for the Sepon Copper Hydrometallurgy operation in Laos in Southeast Asia. In this role, I was involved in both commissioning of Sepon’s leaching and copper SX/EW processes and the final conversion of the copper hydrometallurgy operation to a refractory gold processing treatment facility. Before Sepon, I had worked for 10 years as the ACORGA technical specialist for their copper solvent extraction reagents in the Asia Pacific region which are now part of the Syensqo reagent range. I was previously on the organising committee for the International Solvent Extraction Conference (ISEC) held in Melbourne in 1996.
